The tournament, held to raise funds for the foundation's scholarship program, was headed up by Fishing Tournament Chairman Scott Johnson with Johnson–Davis, Inc.

The Annual Tournament is held in memory of Andrew Scott Johnson, son of Scott Johnson. Andy Johnson worked summers with his father's company, but he especially liked to fish.
