Welcome

The Underground Utility Contractors of Florida (UUCF) is a non-profit trade association representing over 450 underground utility contractors, material and equipment suppliers, and manufacturers throughout the state of Florida. UUCF members are involved in water, sewer, gas, and telephone installations accomplished through open excavation or trenchless technology.

UUCF was formed in 1980 and is comprised of four National Utility Contractors Association (NUCA) chapters. The association is governed through a 16-member board.

Our Statement of Purpose is to support direct industry legislation, monitor proposed state legislation that may affect the industry, and create formal coalitions between construction industry groups to deal with legislative issues; provide exchange of local legislation between the chapters; provide and promote safety awareness; and enhance public awareness of state licensed utility contractors.

UUCF communicates with its members, keeping them up-to-date and informed...this is crucial to the success of our member's business and the industry. UUCF, through its meetings and conventions, provides a means of "networking" with utility contractors from across the state, to share ideas and arrive at solutions to common problems.

The UUCF office staff stands ready to assist its members. In addition to UUCF office staff, members have access to the association's General Counsel George Spofford.

The UUCF PAC “Rebuild and Reload” Campaign was established to replenish the $5,000.00 that was expended on the Vote No on Amendment 4 campaign.
